Initially, the province faced challenges due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, but now, as the crisis wanes, Saskatchewan has experienced a significant resurgence.

SIGA Registers $292.6 Million in Revenue

In the most recent fiscal year, which concluded in March 2023, SIGA reported an impressive $292.6 million in revenue along with $126 million in net profit .

This marks an astounding 84.8% increase compared to the previous year's figures (2021-22), which showed a revenue of only $68.2 million.

Zane Hansen, SIGA President and CEO, remarked: “This has been the most successful year in our history as we emerged from the pandemic, achieving the highest profitability in our over 25 years of operation.”

This outstanding achievement follows the launch of SIGA's online platform, PlayNow.com on the 3rd of November 2022 .

SIGA , or Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority , serves as the regulatory body overseeing gaming operations in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan .

The authority manages the online casino Playnow.com in partnership with the province of British Columbia and oversees seven land-based casinos spread across Saskatchewan:

SIGA is dedicated to contributing to the local community; therefore, the profits earned from both the physical and online casinos are reinvested back into the community through its Community Investments Program .

The profits are distributed among the National Trust , which benefits 74 First Nations located in Saskatchewan, along with Community Development Corporations and the provincial General Revenue Fund .
